Projects

SHARPS comprised of 64 projects. These were organized into four clusters except for two projects known as the Pan-SHARP projects. The four clusters concerned four (overlapping) groupings of security and privacy considerations important to health information technology. These were: audit, automated policy, encryption and trusted base, and telemedicine. The Pan-SHARPS projects represented the SHARPS portion of a cross-cutting demonstration project of the SHARP program generally. In this section we overview the goals and contributions of the SHARPS clusters and enumerate the specific projects in each cluster.
